Val Heffer – Legacy Interviews

Val Heffer is 96 years old. She’s still full of life. Her earliest memory is walking down the hall of her childhood home in Wairoa. She moved to London. She became a nurse. Eventually she became matron at Ranfurly Hospital. She cared for war veterans there. One was a Boer War drummer boy. He was only nine years old when he enlisted. Val’s philosophy is simple.
