At 94 years young, Rae is full of vitality, laughter and fun. Growing up in Mangamahu, near Whanganui, Rae’s father was a farm labourer and her mother a school teacher. She travelled to school in an old Bedford bus and remembers learning about the impact of theManpower Act during World War II.
Rae went on to train as a nurse before following her faith to become a missionary in New Guinea. It was there that she met Kerry, who would become her husband.
Now at 94, Rae’s remarkable story continues to inspire others—a life filled with courage, faith and adventure.
